Did you know?

Lovran received its name from laurel (Laurus nobilis), the Mediterranean shrub or small tree. Its leaves are commonly used in the culinary world as well as in alternative health remedies as it is full of antioxidants, but its true stardome comes from the ancient Greece and Rome.

Laurel leaves were used to make wreaths that were worn on a person’s head to symbolize victory, also seen on Caesar and his statues. It was also a symbol of Greek god Apollo and therefore symbolises victory, honor and peace.
