Description
The Gavella City Drama Theater (Gradsko dramsko kazaliste Gavella) was established in 1953 under the name of Zagreb Drama Theater (Zagrebačko dramsko kazalište). It was founded by the renowned Croatian theater director and theoretician Dr Branko Gavella. The Gavella consists of some 40 actors, who may be divided into four generation groups of highest class professionals with numerous awards behind them. The company successfully deals with different acting tasks, which vary from the classical pieces to the modern contemporary avant-garde shows.
