Hrvatsko agronomsko društvo slijednik je Hrvatsko-slavonskog gospodarskog društva kojeg su 3. veljače 1841. godine utemeljili biskup Juraj Haulik, Dragutin Rakovec, grof Laval Nugent i Nikola Zdenčaj.
