Description
The female chorus (in croatian "klapa) Teha from Cres was founded in February, 1994. The female name Teha originates from the oldest glagolitic written monument in Croatia, the Valun tablet from the 11 century. In its repertoire, besides Dalmatian and Kvarner songs, the chorus especially nurses folk songs from its own island, guarding them from oblivion. The girls gladly sing spiritual songs and chansons, as well as Negro spirituals and evergreens.
